She always looked at her watch to know when the other personalities took over (hacked time from her) and she blacked out. I remembered the abuse and the personalities coming out, what i didn't remember was her obsession with TIME. So I tried to go back and watch the movie but could only find clips. (Also side note-Rami Malek will probably be this generation's Sally Field, acting geniuses). In the movie Sybil suffered serious abuse as a child, which caused her to suffer from, back then what was called multiple personality disorder. (I was only 4 when it originally aired so probably saw it on reruns or something but who knows). Then I remembered when I was little watching Sybil starring Sally Field and how unsettling that movie was. There was something nagging me, something subtlely familiar and distribing about Elliot that I could not quite put my finger on. I'm probably older than most people in this group so maybe that's way it's not referenced much.
